New Chaplaincy Teams like at Kingsmill Resevoir – 2025/2026
The reservoir is situated across the road from a hospital and hospice and the waterways chaplaincy pilot project quickly began providing support to a whole host of people from staff, right through to patients and families from both the hospital and hospice.

About This Campaign
We’re thrilled to launch our new campaign aimed at supporting an incredible cause: supporting waterside users with issues such as physical health, mental health, financial hardship, faith, boating licensing and mooring and personal relationships.
This help can take the form of regular support meet-ups, transport to a Doctor, food, fuel, help with various correspondence, practical help with a boat, information sharing.
We might also act as an intermediary with the various waterways authorities, housing in the case of homelessness, local services e.g. Doctor’s, hospitals, addiction clinics.
We are a constant, trusted presence amongst the waterways communities.
You will impact communities on the waterways by:
- Providing familiarisation days inorder to attract new chaplains
- Providing uniforms for safe identification of chaplains on the waterways
- Providing equipment and training for safer waterside practices
- Funding DBS and safeguarding raising and checking
- Ongoing training and support
